Busselton Caravan Parks 2026: 7 Excellent Options

Last Updated on 4 December 2025 by Ariana Svenson

Busselton, Western Australia, is one of our favourite places for a weekend getaway, and some of the best family-friendly places to stay are the Busselton Caravan Parks.

The first thing to ask yourself is:

Do you want to stay in Busselton town itself, or would you like to stay a bit “out of town” at one of the Busselton Caravan Parks spread along the gorgeous Geographe Bay, in the area known as Broadwater?

In our experience, the Broadwater Busselton Caravan Parks are consistently tops!  From each of them, you have excellent access to Geographe Bay.  What a beach!  Geographe Bay is absolutely beautiful, great for kids, no big waves, great for the SUP, long beach walks or for just reading a book, sipping a locally produced wine and listening to the calming sound of the ocean waves. With a great cycle path running along Geographe Bay, bring your bicycles or scooters. You’ll also be close to the incredible things to do in Busselton!

Below is a map of the four main Busselton Caravan Parks.  All are located in a similar area with easy access to Geographe Bay.  If you are an overseas visitor, remember that “caravan park” style accommodation is often not fancy, but it is nearly always good value for money and provides the option of self-catering.

Disclosure: Through my site there are links to affiliates, which means that I might receive commission if you buy something after clicking them. This costs you no more, and you definitely don’t pay extra. However, I do get a small amount which contributes to the upkeep of this blog. Thanks so much for all of your support. We hope you have a ball in Western Australia!

Busselton Caravan Parks and Accommodations

1. Mandalay Holiday Resort and Tourist Park

With an incredible water area, including an outdoor striped slide, families have consistently rated the Mandalay Holiday resort as one of their favourite Busselton Caravan Parks for years.   There is also a jumping pillow, playground and easy access to the beach.

For a family looking for good family accommodation, there is a range of different types of rooms and villas, including one-bedroom chalets, Beach Cottages, and Two Storey Spa Villas.

2. Big 4 Breeze Holiday Park (Used to be the Big 4 Beachlands Busselton Caravan Park)

This is another popular family favourite among the Busselton Caravan Parks, with families loving the splash and play zone and various pools.

There is also an outside water area.   If you are travelling with a caravan, you can stay in one of the well-kept sites or look for a self-contained cabin, villa or even splurge with a Jacuzzi Bungalow!  And… don’t miss out on the jumping pillow, an absolute hit with our kids.

Not only do the Big 4 Breeze allow dogs in their camping areas, but they also have selected Pet Friendly units that are available year-round.  These include a 6-berth Spa villa or a 2-bedroom chalet.  You don’t need to take your linen, but dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms of these chalets.

For bookings of these dog-friendly Busselton Chalets, you need to ring the Big 4 Breeze directly.  Minimum 3-night stays apply on long weekends and holidays.  If you stay outside peak holiday periods, then you can just stay one night if you wish.

There is also a once-off dog sanitisation fee for staying in one of these chalets.

3. Sandy Bay Holiday Park

Another great family option, the Sandy Bay Holiday Park is located right on Geographe Bay.  There are lots of lawns, quiet campsites, and clean camp kitchens and showers.   Some self-contained units are a little old, but you can opt for the rammed-earth chalets for a rustic option.    The focus at Sandy Bay Holiday Park is good old-fashioned fun on the beach, with a simple playground on site.

They are a pet-friendly park, but you have to get permission if you wish to have a pet at a chalet or during long weekends or school holidays.

Check Booking.com for the current rates to stay at Sandy Bay Holiday Park.

4. Geographe Bay Holiday Park

Another popular option of Busselton Caravan Park is Geographe Bay Holiday Park.  It has a mix of old and new cabins. People recommend staying on the beach side of the tennis courts so you are near the beach. Other facilities (apart from the tennis courts) are a pool, a playground and table tennis. There are also lots of grassed areas for playing.

Note, the RAC Busselton Holiday Park is further down Caves Road (not pictured on the map), past the junction of Bussell Highway and is not located on the water.  We have no experience as to how this compares to the other Busselton Caravan Parks.

Pet-Friendly Busselton Caravan Parks

If you are travelling with your furry family members, then you need to look for a pet-friendly Busselton Caravan Park.   Many of the parks offer dog-friendly stays in the caravan and camping areas, but not in the chalets or accommodation, so check carefully before booking.  If you are looking for Dog & Pet Friendly Accommodation In Margaret River we have got a great list that are not far from Busselton.

5. Busselton Holiday Village

We stayed at this one with Grandpa and believe it is a bit of an undiscovered gem in Busselton. While not located on the water like the above parks, the benefit of this Busselton Caravan Park is that you can bring your bike and quickly ride into town and other attractions like the stunning Busselton Jetty, and the playground by the foreshore.

There is a nice pool and a little playground for the kids.   Very practical and reasonably priced option.  Has many residents in park homes

6. Busselton Villas & Caravan Park

Busselton Villas and Caravan Park is located halfway between the Busselton Town center and the bigger parks down at Broadwater.  A smaller park, it is a little more old-style than the others on this list.  However, it is friendly and welcoming and has shops easily accessible nearby.

Check Booking.com for the current rates to stay at the Busselton Villas & Caravan Park.

7. Four Seasons Caravan Park, Dunsborough

One of the oldest – but MOST dog-friendly caravan parks in the Busselton region is the Four Seasons.  It is located about 15 minutes from Busselton and 10 minutes from Dunsborough in a location known as Marybrook.   We’ve stayed at the Four Seasons not once, but twice, we love it so much!

The Four Seasons is a large, sprawling site with many permanent residents.  The pet-friendly cabins are older style, but recently painted, and we were quite happy, given that the reviews online are not flattering.  The cabins are located in a row not far from the main entrance, swimming pool, and bouncing castle.

The cabin verandahs are fenced so that the dog can hang out outside with you, off-leash.  Inside the cabins are obviously from a bygone era and quite old, especially the bathrooms.  However, you bring your own linen, and that means that your pet can jump up on the beds with no problem.

Four seasons is not going to suit everyone, but it is a wonderful pet-friendly, family-friendly caravan park.  It’s located a very short walk from a dog-friendly section of Geographe Bay (you have to cross busy Caves Road), and for us, being able to take our dog to the beach was another total plus!  We love this dog-friendly Busselton accommodation!

Places to Eat Nearby –Busselton Caravan Parks

If you are staying in a caravan park, part of the appeal is having a family barbecue in one of the park’s great outdoor BBQ areas, or possibly preparing a meal if you have self-contained accommodation.   Note, we haven’t eaten in the following two places; they are on our bucket list!

Amelia Park Lodge, Abbey

Beautifully restored, Amelia Park restaurant was originally known as Newton House and was built in 1852.   There is a pretty impressive menu, or if you are not in the mood for a meal, why not stop by and take a look at the Tavern?

Read more here at the Amelia Park Lodge Website.

The Goose Busselton

Location is everything!  The Goose is a spectacularly located café just off the Busselton Jetty.  It offers regional cuisine and wines, and features fresh local produce!  We’ve had a meal here on our list more than a few times, but it has always been full. That says something!
