Aiyana Retreat
People RAVE about their stays at Aiyana Retreat; we’ve not stayed but have read a lot of reviews. They rank the accommodation as some of the best across all of Australia!
Aiyana Retreat features the finest that Denmark WA craftsmen have to offer, using local timber, handmade tiles and mosaics, and even stained glass windows. The local handmade furniture and super soft beds add to the luxury feel. There are 1 & 2 bedroom villas, but each is unique and has its own touches. You can sit on your verandah, cook a barbeque, or book a glorious and luxurious treatment at the Aiyana Wellness.
Guests can’t speak highly enough of hosts Gadi and Lalita and their efforts to create a luxurious sanctuary in the bush near Denmark.

Celestine Retreat
Apparently named for the book the Celestine Prophecy, the Celestine Retreat is one of the older luxury accommodations in Denmark WA. If you aren’t familiar with the Celestine Prophecy it is a book that is about a quest for knowledge/wisdom. It makes me think of Denmark Western Australia’s hippie days.
The stunning Celestine Retreat Chalets are hexagonal and made out of cedarwood. Each chalet is shielded from their other due to the lush gardens surrounding each. The location on Mt Shadforth road is an absolutely stunning location with views to the inlet and very close to town, restaurants, and wineries.
The chalet was just beautiful – quiet, comfortable, huge bathroom, and great deck area to enjoy the views across Wilson inlet, the southern ocean, and beautiful green rolling valleys. For families looking for a Denmark farm stay experience, there are alpacas, birds, and an occasional kangaroo. The Celestine Retreat is located just 5 minutes from Denmark on Mt Shadforth Road, very close to the Karri Mia Chalets. If you would like to use the Celestine Retreat as a base to explore Denmark and Albany, it is only 45 minutes’ drive to the center of Albany City.

Winniston Lodge Luxury Accommodation
Winniston Lodge is a conveniently located luxury accommodation in Denmark WA with magnificent views looking out over Wilson Inlet and Ocean Beach. Formerly a museum, Winniston Lodge now offers two fully renovated guest rooms equipped with king beds and french doors that open out to private verandahs.
This is a quant, luxury accommodation southwest WA. Guests rave about the exquisite gardens on the property and the scrumptious morning breakfast.

Sensational Heights B&B
The setting does live up to the name, Sensation Heights B&B. The property is on top of the hill and gives sensational 270-degree views. The breakfast room looks out across the fields and hills and there is wildlife all around. In addition to the farmed sheep in the field, kangaroos and fairy wrens amongst the most common. We saw the fairy wrens pretty much every day, and on both visits at one point they came up to the window of my room.
The bed part of the B&B experience was similarly impressive. I first stayed in Suite 3, their cheapest, which was excellent in a fairly standard design. The second time we were in Suite 1, their most expensive, which was excellent for a couple, and a little quirky in its sort-of-half-open-bathroom design. All the contents of both rooms were high quality and it’s one of the smartest places we’ve stayed, justifying the cost. And, there were views from every window.
The location feels as if it is a long way out of Denmark, giving it a peaceful feel without the ability to hear any neighbours or traffic noise at all. However, it’s really only a short drive into Denmark, and even shorter to many of the wineries which are between Denmark and the property. It’s also the right side of Denmark for Greens Pool and Elephant Rock, so again you get the benefit of quietness without being too isolated.

This hotel is full of old world charm and is well-maintained. It is worth noting that many of the rooms are only accessible via a flight of stairs. There is no elevator. That being said this would not be suitable for people traveling with large amounts of luggage or mobility issues.

A family-run holiday accommodation offering, Parry Beach Breaks are located 20 minutes from Denmark and not far from William Bay National Park. They are close enough to be considered “Greens Pool accommodation” – though the nearest beach is Parry Beach.
Parry Beach Breaks have 4 purpose-built self-contained beach houses located in breathtaking surrounds. I love that they describe their vibe as “relaxed luxury” – not overdone, but simple beautiful luxury. They have a fireplace, an outdoor shower for days at the beach, and a fully equipped entertainer’s kitchen. Other touches like the amazing art on the walls, the feature lighting, the gorgeous flooring, the luxurious deep bathtub complete the houses.
You can use Parry Beach Breaks to explore this burgeoning food and wine region or to take home some farm fresh produce and cook up a storm in your villa. Guests rave about the amazing sunsets and sunrises, the beauty of the mist rolling in over the bay, the moon rising, and listening to birds from the windows.

Which is the BEST Denmark WA Caravan Park?
Big 4 Ocean Beach Caravan Park
Located not far from the spectacular Ocean Beach in Denmark, the Ocean Beach Caravan Park always gets rave reviews. It is well maintained, has lots of playground equipment and a bouncy pillow.
In addition to camping facilities, there are 1 and 2 bedroom chalets.
Ocean Beach Caravan is located 10 minutes drive from the center of Denmark. The main benefit of staying at this wonderful caravan park is the excellent quality of facilities and nearby Ocean Beach.

Denmark Rivermouth Caravan Park
This is our pick of the Denmark Caravan Parks – and no we haven’t stayed. However, we have friends who have a week’s holiday there each year and so we go and visit. We have had a good sense of what the Caravan Park is like. It is everything that a small town caravan park should be – it is within walking – or cycling distance to town so you can put your kids on their bikes and ride up for food or ice cream.
The location is very pretty, being right on the Rivermouth. You can hire kayaks to explore the inlet. Or if you wish to take your paddleboards you can get in some good practice. It is also a great place for fishermen.
When I have visited, there is a camp kitchen, multiple ablution blocks, 2 laundries with multiple washers and dryers. Our kids love playing on the playground and our friends say that their kids have a ball staying there (They must, because they return every year)!
There are also cabins for rent, which are a good option for Denmark WA self-contained accommodation. The cabin had a balcony with chairs and table, lovely to just relax and enjoy the view. The location is excellent at the mouth of the inlet and a short distance to town. There are pelicans and birdlife everywhere.

Riverbend Caravan Park
The Riverbend Caravan Park is the smallest and most rustic of the three Denmark Caravan Parks. It is located on a lovely grassy setting right on the Denmark River. The sites are large, but there are no ensuite sites and generally more old-style amenities.
It is on the Scotsdale Tourist Trail and about 2km drive. You can also walk to town, it takes about 20 minutes and is a lovely walk along the Denmark River
We are located in a peaceful rural setting on the Denmark River and just 2km from Denmark townsite. If you like a quiet and peaceful stay, with simple amenities and a pretty outlook the Riverbend Caravan Park might be the place to stay in Denmark for you!

What about Holiday Homes Denmark WA?
There are a burgeoning number of holiday homes Denmark WA, as people chose to let out their holiday homes via Airbnb. We haven’t stayed in any but will be looking next time we visit Denmark. Knowing the hippy, hipster vibe that Denmark exudes, we imagine that there will be some real gems amongst the holiday homes.
Accommodation Between Denmark And Albany
While not as well-known as Denmark as a popular destination, the regional center of Albany provides an excellent base for exploring the region known as the “Amazing South Coast”. If we were first-time visitors, staying at one of the accommodation options between Denmark and Albany would make a lot of sense! Two excellent options for you to consider are Cape Howe Cottages and Avoca Chalet.
Cape Howe Cottages
Cape Howe Cottages are located midway between Albany & Denmark and are located on a private nature reserve near Lowlands Beach and not far from West Cape Howe National park.
Each of the four chalets is very different. They are more like holiday homes than conventional cottages. With the four cottages spread out around a 25-hectare property, there is plenty of space and seclusion for guests.
One of the holiday homes allows pets, so if you are traveling with your dog please ask for “The Snug”.

Avoca Farm Chalet & Cottages
There are two-holiday homes at Avoca Chalet, which are set on a 300-acre farm between Albany and Denmark. Reviewers mention that kids will love visiting the sheds, collecting fresh free-range eggs, and feeding Clyde the horse.
If you are traveling with kids there are spacious secure lawns, BBQ, outdoor setting and trees allow for outdoor relaxation in the evenings and keeping the kids entertained. In keeping with the holiday home theme, there are games, books, and magazines as well as wood fires supplied with a lot of wood to keep you warm during those winter getaways!
