2. Riverview Tourist Park: Best Cabin Accommodation in Margaret River
Location: 8/10 Willmott Ave, Margaret River
The Riverview Tourist Park is a great option for families on a budget.
They offer your standard caravan park-style cabins, many of which overlook the waterfront (hence the name Riverview). This is an excellent family accommodation in Margaret River that the kids (and adults) are sure to enjoy.
There are several walking tracks on the property. You can also swim in the river or rent a canoe! There is also an outdoor BBQ area along the waterfront for families to enjoy.

3. Redgate Forest Retreat
Location: 271 Redgate Rd, Witchcliffe
Redgate Forest Retreat offers several different holiday house options in the Margaret River area. Situated on 167 acres, there are four different homes to choose from.
Each home is pet-friendly, with securely fenced backyards. Speaking of the backyards, kids will be excited to know that each home has a spring-free trampoline. Adults will love the ample outdoor seating and grill areas.
The Redgate Forest Retreats holiday houses are the best accommodation in Margaret River for families looking to have all the comfort and amenities of home.
The houses are modern and well-appointed. It is also worth mentioning that two of the homes are wheelchair accessible.

5. Admiral Stirling Inn – best fun and quirky place to stay
Location: Ned Higgins Ln, Margaret River
If you love quirky and incredibly unique accommodation, then the Admiral Stirling Inn is really going to tickle your fancy. Nautically themed and obviously a work of love from an amazing craftsman, this eclectic collection of ship themed rooms and apartments are quite incredible. We stayed in the upstairs Governor Stirling residence with 4 bedrooms and the kids were taken by the cute nooks while we all loved the antique furniture and old world feel. The stained glass and overall design was incredibly beautiful.
If you are not steady on your feet, then the steps leading to the various accommodations are very steep; and not under cover if it is raining.
For those rooms without kitchen facilities the there is a common space (The Engine Room) with kitchen and picnic tables, as well as a laundry room.
Location-wise, the Admiral Stirling Inn also is an easy walk to all cafes and shops on the Main Road. It is also a very short walk down to the Margaret River, and interesting Historical precinct. The playground across the bridge also keeps the kids entertained for a while.
The Admiral Stirling Inn is part of a complex of accommodation that includes the Adamsons Riverside Accommodation or Bridgefield Guest House.

It is affordable yet well-appointed and literally a stone’s throw away from the beach. They offer 10 townhouse options, all located close together.
So whether you are traveling as a couple or a large group, all different party sizes can be accommodated.
All units are fully self-contained, have air conditioning access to the on-site swimming pool and BBQ area, and are just a 500-metre walk from Gnarabup Beach.
Some units have spa bathrooms or separate play areas for children. Keep in mind there is no 24-hour reception, and the units are not pet-friendly.

This farm stay in Margaret River is family and dog-friendly. The Margaret River Farmstay and Hideaway offers a unique and wonderful property just 5km from Margaret River.
All cottages offer your standard amenities as well as an outdoor seating area and fenced verandah area as well.
Margaret River Hideaway offers a complimentary “starter breakfast” that includes milk, cereal, bread, coffee/tea, and farm-fresh eggs (when the chickens are laying).

8. Eight Willows Retreat
One of our favourite bush stays in Margaret River was at the Eight Willows retreat is which has of 27-self-contained luxury chalets set in 75 acres of natural bushland. It is located in Metricup, not far from Leeuwin Estate and Vasse Felix.
There is a wide range of One, two and four-bedroom accommodation options with a stunning view – whether its bush, forest, lake or vineyard views. So whatever the size of your family, you are going to find something that works for you.
We stayed in one of the rammed earth Two Bedroom Queen Bed Chalets which complement the natural bushland they are set in and have a gas log fire that was a cozy addition to our winter escape. We did have an entire day of rain while staying here so were happy for the spacious living area – and the wifi!
The large bath was also well used when we were caught in a downpour of rain.
Every chalet has its own barbeque and outdoor seating, which would be superb in the warmer months.
In addition to the quality fittings, there are also a number of lovely bushwalks around the property which we enjoyed on several mornings. In addition, there is complimentary rod hire for trout fishing in the lake, and kids will enjoying the Retreat’s sheep.

This 4-star resort offers many different options that suit all tastes and budgets. Guests have called Margaret’s Beach Resort one of the best beach resorts in Western Australia.
If you’re looking for popular family hotels in Margaret River, this beach resort ticks all the boxes.
If you are looking for the best accommodation in Margaret River, which is by the ocean, this is it. It is literally 500 metres from Gnarabup Beach and a short distance to Prevelly Beach.
It offers free parking, free Wi-Fi, a seasonally heated outdoor pool, and an on-site restaurant. Additionally, the White Elephant Cafe is nearby, and so is Surfers Point, where you can feast at the different food trucks.
