Bayside Villas offers self-contained accommodation in modern, well-appointed two-story units with a living and dining area. These are just a couple of minutes walk from the very picturesque town jetty and on the Walking Trail, which connects you to all points in this cute little village!

2. Tree Top Walk Motel
Location: 45-50 Nockolds St, Walpole
A 4-star property offering clean, motel-style accommodation. This hotel has a pool, and this is the only place on the list that offers a pool!
There is also a restaurant on-site, though we’ve eaten there, and the service was mediocre and rather slow. New owners have revamped the menu with Indian cuisine and we are looking forward to going back and giving it a try! Still, this is a very utilitarian and comfortable option if you want to visit Walpole and the Valley Of The Giants Tree Top Walk.

3. Walpole Hotel Motel
Location: S Western Hwy, Walpole
The Walpole Hotel (aka the Walpole Pub) offers standard 1970s-style accommodation. These motel units will provide a place to sleep if you have no other options!
While the motel units might not be luxurious, they are clean and have everything you need for a comfortable night’s sleep. Its central location along the South Western Highway also provides easy access to local attractions
New Managers are trying really hard with the Menu in the Restaurant, so you should give it a try.

Walpole Chalets
4. Tinglewood Cabins
Location: 85 Bridge Rd, Walpole WA
Located just 10 minutes out of Walpole, the Tinglewood cabins are in a beautiful location. They are on top of a pretty hill, with views across gorgeous farmland. They are also next to a lovely forest that is part of the property.
There are cabins, and even though they are near each other, they are far enough not to know there are other people around you! A friendly family of kangaroos and spectacular birdlife is in the forest next door.
Each cabin is self-contained, with a fully equipped kitchen. Linen and towels are included.
If you are planning to visit Walpole, WA, during winter, the cabins are heated beautifully by a wood fire.
There are also some outdoor settings that make a tranquil and relaxing place to sit in the sun and watch the wildlife. inglewood Cabins is a great Walpole wilderness resort.

6. Che Sara Sara Chalets – The Best Fully Self Contained Chalets
Location: 92 Nunn Rd, Hazelvale WA
These are some of the older Walpole WA accommodations. However, they are still favourites amongst people who return year after year.
The property offers fully self contained chalets are located a large distance apart, so you feel like you are on your own.
There are various trails on the property. You can fish in the river, go for a canoe, or have a game of tennis on the courts. The self-contained cabins are thoughtfully appointed.
They are stocked with everything you will need for an easy, comfortable holiday down south.
Included are comfy beds, a TV and DVD player, a fully stocked log fire, gas hot water, extra blankets and heater, a fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, stove, and all your basic kitchen and cookware, a washing machine, tea and coffee, and long-life milk. Linen is not supplied, but doonas are.
This is a pet-friendly place to stay.

We included it in this list because it’s a real farm experience far from the beaten path. Which means far from phones and the internet.
These rustic cottages are a wonderful experience and truly help you to get away from it all. People return year after year to Billa Billa.

Set in stunning gardens and with big comfortable houses that are well equipped, Tree Elle is considered the premier luxury accommodation in the area and one of the best places to stay in Walpole.
For kids, there are farm animals that are fed daily. It is also a popular wedding venue, and we have been lucky enough to attend a wedding there.
This accommodation near Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk is a great option. It is located about 20 minutes from the Tree Top Walk, travelling towards Denmark.

9. Nornalup Riverside Chalets
Location: 4 Riverside Dr, Nornalup WA
Most likely the closest accommodation to the Valley Of The Giants Tree Top Walk and located in the ‘blink and you will miss it’ hamlet of Nornalup.
This accommodation doesn’t even have phone reception! It’s across the road from the magnificent Frankland River, where we used to rent canoes when we were younger.
The chalets most likely are a little dated but would make up for that with coziness.

Two Walpole caravan parks are fully booked in the high season (late December and January). Easter in Walpole is also a very popular time of year!

Location: 1 Rest Point Rd, Walpole
It is on the site of Walpole’s original guesthouse, so it retains an old-world flavour. It has a guesthouse and a cute jetty.
There are also spectacular views across the inlet, a winner with our kids, and a jumping pillow! In addition to being a caravan park, they also offer some modest self-contained cabins.
The park is right in the centre of the Walpole Wilderness, with views of the local Walpole and Noralup Inlet Marine Park.

12. Coalmine Beach Holiday Park
Location: Coalmine Beach Rd, Walpole
Coalmine Beach Holiday Park gets rave reviews from people who come back year after year and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere and easy access to the Walpole for fishing and swimming.
It is located on Coalmine Beach, which is a great place for very little kids to swim. In addition, from Coalmine Beach Caravan Park, you can follow the Walpole Heritage Trail into the town centre, or the Bibbulmun track into the nearby Tingle Forest.

Walpole Camping
Did I mention it rains a lot in Walpole, which is why the big red tingle trees grow so prolifically? This means that Walpole camping is not a good idea year-round.
In fact, we suggest that the best months are December through March when there isn’t too much rain.

One of the area’s best Parks and wildlife campsites is Fernhook Falls. It allows for bush camping in a beautiful setting right near the falls. There are no showers here.
Other places for Walpole camping include the Coalmine Beach Caravan Park, which is located on the edge of the Nornalup Inlet.
Rest Point Caravan Park Walpole also provides powered or non-powered sites in a lovely location. There is plenty of fishing or kayaking close to both Walpole Caravan Parks and a nice ambience.
If you have a 4WD and are looking for a truly spectacular Walpole Wilderness camping experience, then Rame Head has a hut, which is an awesome place to get away for a few days.
