If you are looking for Family Accommodation in Albany Western Australia then here are our suggestions.   These are great family friendly properties because of the facilities (they are self-contained).  Also, most of them are located in close proximity to two fantastic playgrounds!  While several are located adjacent to one another, they are all great values and, in our opinion, among the best family accommodation in Albany Western Australia.

There are a great range of motels and hotels in Albany Western Australia as well – they are mostly found in the York Street and Albany Highway vicinity.

Pelicans Albany

Of the four self-contained apartments we’ve listed here.  Pelicans Albany have a great spacious outlook and are the top of our list for a reason, they are nice places to stay.   There are new two-story apartments with balconies, and fully equipped kitchens.

Pelicans Albany also have attractive gardens, with BBQ facilities and we are always fans of gardens for a good run for the kiddos! We like that they offer economy units with a kitchen for people on a budget.  They even offer right through to Deluxe Units and a stunning Luxury House.   The luxury designer home has everything you would expect from a home, including laundry facilities.  There are not one, but TWO king master bedrooms as well!  Pelicans is a great family accommodation in Albany Western Australia.

Dolphin Lodge

Though a little dated from the outside, many rooms have been recently renovated inside.  They offer good-sized rooms with a comfy double bed and 2 single beds (perfect for a family of 4).

Furthermore, there is a reasonable sized sitting area with a couch & dining table, TV as well as a bonus… a small private outdoor area.  These self-contained units also offer small, but well equipped, kitchens.   A very practical option if you are looking for affordable accommodation in Albany Western Australia.

Balneaire Seaside Resort

Located extremely close to the Dolphin Lodge and Pelicans Albany (listed above) the Balneaire Seaside resort is a solid, though slightly dated option for families looking for hotels in Albany Western Australia.

It offers 2 and 3 bedroom self-contained units, some with spas.  However, this is neither a resort, nor technically on the seaside. It is close to the playgrounds of Middleton Beach and nearby restaurants.   The flowers in the gardens were a highlight for our children!

Albany Harbourside Apartments and Houses

The Albany Harbourside Apartments and Houses is not just “one” establishment, more like a cooperative group of 10 apartments or houses/ all located extremely close to the Harbour and main York street area.  There are also two beautiful apartments close to Middleton Beach which has a lovely beach and playground.

Each one of these houses and apartments is unique so check out the specifications of where you are staying.  However, they are extremely clean, well presented, and self-contained.   An excellent option for families or larger groups traveling together.

Big 4 Middleton Beach Holiday Park

There is a solar heated pool and hydro spa as well as well cared for common areas and BBQ s.

For larger, or multi-generational families traveling together our pick of ALL the accommodation in Albany Western Australia is the Beach House. As the name implies, this is a fully self-contained 3-bedroom house, that has a kitchen complete with oven and dishwasher.

A stunning feature is the outdoor balcony with views right over the ocean.  Additionally, the beach houses have a separate security access gate to the park, adding to the feeling of seclusion.

BIG4 Emu Beach Holiday Park

Most of the hotels in Albany Western Australia listed here are in the Middleton Beach area, but the other lovely beach side area to stay is Emu Point.  A bit further from the center of Albany (about 10 minutes’ drive), the Emu Point area is a lovely natural area and feels very laid back.

The Big 4 Emu Beach Holiday Park has typical caravan park style holiday homes with two small rooms, bunk beds, and self-catering.  The homes are located right on the beach, and surrounded by native peppermint trees.   A short walk takes you to the Emu Point Playground and Café.
