In a price range similar to Esperance Chalet Village’s rave reviews, the Esperance Island View Apartments offer their guests world-class, self-contained accommodation.
This modern complex is centrally located near the shops, restaurants, and Esperance Esplanade. It features one—and two-story apartments well-appointed with natural timber or terracotta floors, complemented by crisp, contemporary design.
The bedrooms are downstairs, and a large living area and balcony are upstairs. The stairs may be a problem if you can’t manage them, but if you have kids, there is a secure gate at the top.
If you are travelling with kids, there is everything you need for a stay, including a full-sized washing machine and dryer, refrigerator, stove, and BBQ, which was appreciated.
With views overlooking the foreshore and rave reviews, the Esperance Island view apartments are juggling for the number one spot for best family accommodation in Esperance, WA. Both are well-reviewed but offer entirely different experiences.

2. Esperance Chalet Village
I first saw Esperance Chalet Village on Instagram, and as soon as you check it out on Trip Advisor, you can see the rave reviews. This is interesting because it’s one of the older Esperance holiday places. It is not modern or fancy, yet people rave about their stays in the old-school A-frames and amongst the bush.
It is a great place for families to stay as there is a range of cottages, each secluded from the others. Many of them are surrounded by trees and have gardens and fire pits.
All reviews comment on each cottage’s personalised, elegant, antique styling, including luxury linen, towels, and high-quality toiletries. The Esperance Chalet Village presentation sounds first-class, which is why people rave about it.
Other family reviewers commented on bikes being supplied to the children and that with no Wi-Fi, iPads were tossed aside for games of Monopoly, Jenga, cards, and puzzles, all provided in the room. This sounds amazing to us.

3. Yot Spot Apartments
Yot Spot Apartments are an excellent choice for families and groups looking for modern, self-contained holiday accommodation in Esperance. They offer a variety of apartments catering for large or small groups, from cozy one-bedroom apartments to massive units that can accommodate up to 17 guests.
Each apartment has a full kitchen and living area, a handy washing machine, an outdoor area, and a BBQ. There’s also private parking and a kid’s playground.
You’ll be just a short walk from Esperance town where you can enjoy visiting places like the Esperance visitor centre and Esperance Museum. You’ll also be near Esperance’s most beautiful beaches and local attractions like Adventureland Family Park.

4. Clearwater Motel Apartments
Clearwater Apartments is one of the best motels in Esperance, WA. It is within easy walking distance from some fantastic restaurants, shops, and the Esperance Foreshore—an ideal location.
There are 20 fully contained apartments and spacious rooms ranging from 1 to 3 bedrooms. Free on-site parking and laundry are also available.

5. Comfort Inn Bay of Isles
The Comfort Inn is a great choice for cheap accommodation in Esperance, WA. It is located on the Esplanade, a prime beachfront location only 100m from the town centre.
It’s also just a 5-minute drive from Twilight Beach and the start of the Great Ocean Drive Esperance. When at the motel, you can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool.
Rooms sleep between 2 adults and one child to 4 adults, three children.
Eljays Restaurant, located on-site, is a local favourite and serves breakfast and dinner to guests. It serves fresh seafood, steaks, and vegetarian options.

6. Hospitality Esperance Motel
Located close to the town centre and steps from some of the world’s best beaches, the Hospitality Esperance Motel is perfect for a budget getaway in Western Australia.
The spacious and well-appointed rooms offer all the comforts you’d expect. The motel also has a guest laundry, a licensed modern Australian cuisine restaurant, a cocktail bar, and a large swimming pool.

8. Driftwood Apartments
Located right on the Esperance Esplanade and Foreshore, these modern self-contained apartments provide everything you need, just minutes from Esperance Centre.
Each apartment offers a peaceful and tranquil retreat within, with some featuring balconies that provide limited views of the bay. Whether in a cozy two-bedroom unit or a larger, two-story apartment, you’ll find all the amenities, including full kitchens, comfortable beds, and quiet surroundings.

Esperance Caravan Parks and Holiday Parks
Caravan and holiday parks are great choices if you’re looking for a more communal holiday experience. They usually have shared facilities like camp kitchens, BBQ areas, and kids’ playgrounds—plus, they’re usually in prime spots near Esperance’s best beaches and national parks.
The best options for pet-friendly accommodation in Esperance are found at the caravan parks. However, only on the campsites, not in the cabins.
9. RAC Esperance Holiday Park
Whether you prefer the comfort of brand-new self-contained villas and studios or the simplicity of powered caravan and tent sites, this park has something for everyone – just a 15-minute walk from the town centre.
Rooms range from a queen room with two people to 2-4 bedroom villas with up to 8 adults and children.
The park has modern facilities, including an impressive outdoor heated swimming pool, a state-of-the-art camp kitchen, BBQ facilities, and large recreation rooms. For families, there’s a big play area and nature playground.
If you’re travelling with dogs, you can opt for the two-bedroom pet-friendly cabins and dog wash station. Ensuite sites are not pet-friendly.

10. Esperance Bay Holiday Park
Esperance Bay Holiday Park offers a range of accommodation options, including well-appointed one- and two-bedroom self-contained units and a budget cabin with a shared bathroom.
At around $125 per night, these basic chalets/cabins provide good value for the money. They seem pretty typical of caravan parks in Australia—small and cozy, with self-contained facilities.
The Esperance Bay Holiday Park includes a playground, undercover BBQ area, camp kitchen, laundry, and clean bathroom amenities.
They make an excellent base for exploring Esperance, and you can walk along Esperance’s seafront from here!
Run by Summerstar Caravan Parks, they have a standard pet-friendly policy. You can take pets camping or with a caravan, but not in any other type of accommodation, such as chalets.

11. Acclaim Pine Grove Holiday Park
If you read the reviews, you won’t stay here. However, Acclaim Pine Grove Holiday Park is the only caravan park pet-friendly year-round, so we booked our stay here during the January school holidays, but then had to subsequently cancel and never got back.
When you read the reviews, the cabin accommodation is pretty run down, not the camping sites themselves.

12. Esperance Pink Lake Tourist Park
If you’re looking for a relaxed and fun-filled holiday, Pink Lake Tourist Park is the perfect choice. It’s a bit out of the main part of town, on the road to Pink Lake Esperance WA.
Choose from ensuite cabins, budget cabins, and pet-friendly options, or opt for spacious powered and unpowered sites for caravans and tents.
The park features essential amenities, including a camp kitchen, BBQ facilities, clean bathrooms, and a children’s playground.

Esperance Hotels and Resorts
If you’re looking for a touch of luxury, Esperance’s hotels and resorts won’t disappoint. With beachfront views, on-site restaurants, swimming pools, and many other premium amenities, these accommodations offer a more indulgent way to experience Esperance.
13. The Jetty Resort Esperance
We first overlooked the Jetty Resort, which looked like a simple motel. The resort has various rooms to suit every traveller, whether families or budget travellers.
For those looking for self-contained accommodation in Esperance, we were looking at the ocean or pool view apartments.
These fully self-contained apartments are the ultimate. They include a living area with a full kitchen, dishwasher, and front-loading washing machine/dryer. The Jetty Resort family apartments offer not one but two balconies!

14. Esperance Beachfront Resort
Located right across from Esperance Bay, the Esperance Beachfront Resort is in the perfect spot!
Stay in one of the self-contained chalets with garden views. Each has a private patio, a fully equipped kitchen, and a separate living area.
There’s also a BBQ area and a kids’ playground. Laundry facilities are available on-site. The resort has free Wi-Fi and offers free pickup from the bus station.

Camping in Esperance
Camping is a quintessential part of the Esperance experience, and the area offers plenty of options for both wild camping and established campsites.
One of the most popular accommodation options in Esperance is camping. You can camp at some Parks & Wildlife sites, Lucky Bay and Le Grande, and Duke of Orleans Bay.
Wild camping in remote spots around Duke of Orleans Bay is a unique experience. You can wake up to the sound of waves and the sight of untouched wilderness. Just remember to check the local regulations.
There are many places to camp in Esperance. The campsites are managed by either the Shire of Esperance or DBCA. You don’t need to book in advance apart from campsites in Lucky Bay and Le Grand Beach in Cape Le Grand National Park, where you have to book.
