Toodyay Manor makes a comfortable and well-placed base for a short stay in town. This is where we chose to stay because the charming French provincial décor appealed to us, and we’d seen it described as the best place to stay in Toodyay.
We were slightly aback when we arrived to find renovations still underway downstairs, but after a chat, you realise this is a labour of love, and the rooms upstairs are gorgeous.
The property still maintains its old-world charm while offering modern comforts and amenities. The balcony suites are especially appealing, with comfortable beds and a quiet spot to start the day while looking out over the street below.
I love the thoughtful details throughout the manor, like the cosy reading and sitting areas, a small library, and a well-equipped kitchen.
The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and designed for comfort. For our next stay in Toodyay (because there will be a next time), this property is high on our list!

Toodyay Hotel
Location: 125 Stirling Terrace
As one of the town’s most iconic historic pubs, the Toodyay Hotel has stood proudly on Stirling Terrace since the 1860s. Formerly known as the Freemasons Hotel and originally the Newcastle Hotel, this place is in history and a key part of Toodyay’s heritage.
Inside, you’ll find public bar areas, a relaxed beer garden, and a tavern that serves delicious meals alongside classic drinks. There’s a country pub atmosphere, with cosy accommodations. If you want to sleep in a historic hotel in the centre of town, Toodyay Hotel is the place to be!

Victoria Hotel
Location: 116 Stirling Terrace
Victoria Hotel Toodyay is a historical hotel offering traditional country hospitality and dining. Just like the Toodyay Hotel, it dates back to the 1800s but has been beautifully renovated to keep its heritage charm. As it’s located right in the centre of town, staying here gives you easy access to some of the top things to do.
The rooms have all the comforts and amenities you may need. Some self-contained units have kitchenettes and others have views overlooking the Avon River. A couple of upstairs rooms have private balconies where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.

This is another place I recommend for families, as it comes with a swimming pool, picnic areas, and BBQ facilities. The outdoor space is pretty spacious, too, so kids can play and run around. After a day of roaming around town, this is the perfect spot to slow down and enjoy the countryside.

Location: 188 Racecourse Rd, Toodyay
Another place to spend the night is the Toodyay Holiday Park & Chalets. Set on a 25-acre area of natural bushland just outside town, it has both powered and unpowered caravan sites. There are also some self-contained cabins.
