I’m Ariana, proudly West Australian. I spent an idyllic Western Australian childhood fossicking in the goldfields, camping under the stars, and on the water and at the beach. Reaching adulthood I spread my wings and first explored magnificent Australia before heading overseas and racking up an impressive backpackers CV through many little known countries and places.
Little did I know that I was intrinsically drawn to
what makes Western Australia so incredibly special!

Nearly 20 years later I returned to Western Australia in 2011 with my Peruvian born daughter and my Nicaraguan partner Norman. With him, I saw Western Australia with new eyes as we began to explore; we returned to my favourite childhood haunts, we discovered new ones. We lost him after a short, horrific battle to pancreatic cancer in 2019, leaving me the solo mum of three kids.

Western Australia was closed off from the rest of the world during the pandemic, while we lived a lifestyle that was not that similar than pre-pandemic times. With some of the uncertainties around pandemic travel most of our trips have been short and sweet, going back to places we know and love. Like an onion, every time we peel back another layer, we fall more in love with Western Australia and her beauty.
